Second Trial of the Crusader Beta test.

first new

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

After these days working on several issues reported by our Trial of the Crusader Beta testers, I have fixed most of them already. I would like to perform a second test this Monday at 19:00 Server Time. I want to be sure that the fixes are indeed working on a real player raid environment and for that I need some help once again.

This test will be much more specific and quick so, with one or two groups would be more than enough, even though all of them are welcome to come back and test it again. If anyone interested has any inconvenience with the date, write me via e-mail and I will see what I can do.

To be clear regarding the release, I will announce the exact official date right after ToC is ready and with at least one week in advance so everyone can be prepared. If the issues I have been working on result indeed properly fixed on this second test, I will announce the release day this next Tuesday.

As a side note, we have received some questions regarding the Beta participation requirements – do not worry, we will post the requirements to assist to the next ones with time enough in advance, which are Onyxia’s Lair and The Icecrown Citadel (ICC will require a huge testing with many sessions so we would like to have as many groups as possible checking every single detail, this epic raid deserves to be perfectly scripted – and it will be).

For those who wrote me reporting some general issues: Once this new content patch is released; low level dungeons, Northrend questing and classes will have lots of improvements. Hopefully the new website will be up then and you can track every change trough the changelog instead of the bug tracker.

Thank you everyone for your support and help, we really wish every single player is able to enjoy our next content release.

About yesterday’s Beta

Hello there,

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to every player who has invested his time into this testing, I really do appreciate it. The experience has been pretty useful and encouraging.

I am still waiting for two reports, but I did receive the feedback from most of the groups as they were progressing through the raid. There were found some minor glitches which I already have been correcting, so it is now in a very good shape.

I am currently working on two issues which I expect to fix without much troubles so, once I get the rest of the reports and analyze them – I will announce the official Trial of the Crusader release date.

If for some reason I need help with some quick tests more, I will write the Beta testers via e-mail. But I believe this will not be necessary, however I will require few 5 player groups to perform the final checks of the Trial of the Champion dungeon once the raid is ready, you will hear from me through the e-mail.

Thank you very much for reading.

Trial of the Crusader Beta test

Hello citizens of Dalaran,

Finally, I can set a date for the Trial of the Crusader’s Beta where I can dedicate all my time to those players who are going to participate – which is the Friday, October 2nd. So, as I expect, if no major issues appear during the testing, Trial of the Crusader’s official release would be the weekend after.

We have received some suggestions as for the Beta, and based on my previous experiences I would say they are right. This time the time to access will be limited and there shall be a list with some specific tasks to do when testing. So, I would suggest you stay organised and focused on such tasks. The Beta testers are invited to help us to check those things on a real player raid environment that can not be checked properly while the content is still being developed, in order to to deploy the encounters to the live server as polished as possible. The instructions and details about how to connect and how to proceed are going to be sent via e-mail to each group or guild.

There will be also an e-mail group, like Ulduar one, so we can be in constant communication altogether, even outside the game. I will be updating with the corrections if there is something to be correct, as well as with other relevant things.

Remember, the next content patch’s release shall include Trial of the Crusader raid (every mode and difficulty), the new 5 man dungeon (both modes), Koralon from Vault of Archavon along with the new tier set, vendors, emblems and the start of the new PvP Season. Onyxia’s Lair shall be released a bit later, most likely between 1 and 2 months after the ToC’s official opening, with all that it implies – the remaining parts of the legendary chain quest. Since it will be an extraordinary event, we will announce it with time enough so the players can prepare themselves and compete for the legendary mount.

The duration of this patch will be much shorter than the previous tiers, being Icecrown Citadel and its dungeons released in few months.

There shall be another Beta test for Onyxia’s Lair, the requirements to assist are still pending to be decided.

Thank you very much.

A few words.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

I would like to give you a small update regarding the current progression point and situation. As many of you are aware, we have had to attend to several unexpected issues over the last few months, which has, of course, slowed my work on the new content release quite considerably. I can imagine some of you have noticed these disturbances and that my attention was required.

Nonetheless, I am quite pleased with the state of TOC and I think it is ready for a good session of beta testing. I would like to open the PTR in 2-3 weeks, as I am currently finishing my work and trying to set a concrete timeframe for the Beta (until then, the beta testing date is not official). I need to have everything prepared, because once the Beta is open, I will need to be fully focused and ready to fix any issue that may crop up, as well as stay in constant contact with the Beta testers. The official release of TOC will be one week after the Beta is finished (if no major issue appears).

There is also a topic I would like to mention, which is the last week’s server unstability – it has nothing to do with us, our host company has been experiencing some issues with their network sessions and many hosts have been affected randomly, for several days at a time. They are already aware of the issue and working on it so it should not persist. If it continues, however, we are going to move our realms to another host provider – the effects on player experience should be minimal.

Anyways, there is a matter I believe has been managed poorly from my side, which is the lack of communication. Some players have mentioned it to me and they are indeed right. I should have kept the community more updated with current events – I would like to make an apology for that, I have been very overloaded, trying to manage many tasks at the same time and I may have underestimated the importance of keeping you, the players in the loop.

From now on, communication is one of the things we are going to work on most and try keep our community properly updated.

There have been some issues with the Tournament’s results and videos. I have sent an e-mail to every group leader and am currently awaiting response from some of them. Once we get all the required information we will distribute the points. We will try to at least partially compensate you for the delay and will add an extra reward to every tournament participant.

Thank you for reading everyone.

Recovering the planned schedule:

ask_header

Greetings,

The major instability issues that have been occurring over the past few weeks seem to have been corrected and we can return to our planned schedule. That means that some of the fixes that were reverted during the daily maintenances will be re-deployed and we can continue improving the server.

We are also working on several things that will help us keep you notified more easily regarding the updates and new content in the months to come.

In regard to Legends of Dalaran Tournament: Ulduar rewards and the Beta ToC invitations, please stay tuned – we will publish the results and grant the rewards, as well as contact you via the email addresses provided before announcing the final date.

Unfortunately, the unexpected issues made the last few weeks quite chaotic for us. As you may know, we are a small team and much of the planned work had to be postponed to identify and root out the problem. We offer our sincere gratitude for the patience, support and trust you have shown us – it has certainly helped us work harder and get it done faster. With work back on schedule, the rest of the announcements and fixes will come during the following days.

Thank you again.

Server maintenance

Hello there,

As you all may know, today, May 19th at 23:59 ST we will be performing a maintenance for both realms that will last for at least 4 hours, in order to deploy the patch which contains a lot of fixes and improvements, as well as the world event: The Argent Tournament. We will keep you informed about when is finished via website/forums and our Social Media.

Note that there will not be any instance or raid released with this patch, but you can start your training in the Argent Tournament and its grounds.

During this week, we will announce some more important informations, stay tuned to the News and announcement section.

The ToC Beta will be delayed one weekend due some unexpected issues that we are still trying to solve. We will comunicate the exact date as well as some other details about it through the forums. Also, the person who subscribed his group to the Tournament will receive an e-mail about how to join our PTR server, how long will last the Beta and the requirements to accomplish as Beta Testers.

During this week, we will publish also the results of the Ulduar tournament, and deliver the rewards to the participants and winners.

Regards.

PvE Tournament: The Legends of Dalaran – Ulduar.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

In the taverns all across Azeroth a song can be heard, one song played by the bards, yet no one remembers the first one to sing it. It is heard around all over the place, but everyone knows the truth, it is an echo of our citizens, inside our memory, it will be spread in times of joy and fear. It is a Legend but there is nothing that proves it, and Legends may be forgotten or changed so the song will change too. We need to do something to keep the Legend alive, to remember each name and each feat, and this is how it is born: The Legends of Dalaran.

All of us will remember some names, some families, famous for their strength, their passion or their victories, the truth will be constant for a while, but with time will only last as a rumor. The brotherhoods change and their leadership too; everyone is a storyteller with some dwarfish beer in their hand, but in Dalaran, there will be a special book. A magic book like our kingdom, where all those who made the bards sing, who destroyed all the enemies and were known for their bravery and power, will forever remain as Legends and be remembered with eternal glory.

Our enemies are well known, every one of us knows how to deal with their threat, how to silence them week after week, but now everyone has the opportunity to show the rest why they are Legends and the rest only mere soldiers. To become a Legend you will need to fight against your enemies but also compete with your partners, the rest of the citizens of Dalaran.

When the battle is big, the reward has to even be bigger. So your name will be remembered through generations in our world, Azerothian winds will whisper to the rest when you are close to them who are you, and what you did. The fame will surround you, not only by your titles, but also by your feats.

If you want to become a Legend, to never be forgotten and always be known by everyone in Dalaran, where the children invent tales of your feats, where the ladies blush in your presence and the knights bow before you, this is your call.

The Priests will bless your fate, the Mages will conjure your dreams, the Warlocks will slay your nightmares, the Paladins will grant you their light, the Rogues will murder your enemies, the Shamans will call the elements to your presence, the Warriors will respect your bravery, the Druids will whisper your history to the elders, the Death-Knights will plague your opponents and the Hunters will tame the wild for you. You will be known as the best of your era, and maybe of the rest of generations that you live with us.

The books of our magical Kingdom of Dalaran are waiting to be written by you, our Legend.

We are delighted to announce our plans to host for second time an unique event that has never been seen in the history of Private Servers – A progressive PvE Tournament: The Legends of Dalaran – Ulduar.

From the beginning we have been searching for Legends who can achieve the impossible, and we tried to bring the attention of all the players we could, even before Dalaran-Wow was released. Now that we are known as dedicated, persistent and devoted people to our server and to our citizens, we can proudly host one of the most epic tournaments right before each tier/season ends.

On Dalaran, not only the Realm Firsts that players have achieved will last, because there will also be Legends around, people known as the best. Eternal glory in our Kingdom awaits for you, and believe us when we say that the race will not be just based on luck. Your dedication, teamwork and partnership, must be better than the rest if you want to have any chance.

We are currently searching for the Legends of Ulduar, but we will be searching for more in the future. Each of the eras will await for their heroes, and after that, they will await for their Legends.

The idea was originally born of a suggestion from our Staff Member: Averdoom, and of a from the player Tygra (http://www.dalaran-wow.com/forums/community/pve/topic/2262/guild-raid-race suggestion) on the forums, about a possible guild race. After a long period of thinking about possible structures, performances and so on (always keeping our ideals and thoughts), Legends of Dalaran became true and is considered one of the great highlights from our server.

This tournament will be hosted on our realm Algalon, it will not be game-breaking, and each and every one of the participants will have their reward.

What do we plan to achieve with this?

– To increase the competitive spirit among the players.
– To bring the “hero feeling” to our players and to spread the competition to possible new players to come.
– To be the one and unique private server with such tournaments.
– To gain international and competitive PvE reference.
– To become the heart and exclusive home of the PvE players.
– To bring the most deep PvE experience in the private servers.
– To have a centralized, unified and active community.
– To bring a challenge to experienced players.
– To advertise the server and to spread our quality around, in order to increase our popularity and grow as a unit.
– To give fame and reputation to our players and guilds towards the World of Warcraft community.

The PvE tournament will consist of two different races inside Ulduar and they will be present separately on both 10 and 25 modes.

1) Between 1st and 7th of May: First challenge – Speed Race.

Once the Speed Race is over, the Achievement race will take place.

2) Between 8th and 14th of May: On the second challenge, the guilds will have to accomplish a list of achievements (that we will provide) in Ulduar. Each of the achievements will have a specific point value.

The guild having more points between both of the challenges, will be proclaimed the winner. Will anyone be able to beat Obsidius guild, our Legends of Dalaran – Tier 7 winner ?

How can you participate?

– The Guild Master or one of the Officers must register their guild to the tournament. The registration for the Speed Run Tournament will be opened tomorrow friday, the April 24rd.

**Note: Only those guilds who can have at least one player streaming via Twitch or recording everything will be eligible to participate on the tournament.

We will explain through the forums everything, the table with the speed and achievement points value, rewards, rules, rewards, guidelines and so on.

If you want to become a Legend of Dalaran, this Tournament is for you.
