Ruby Sanctum Beta and PvE Tournament official dates:

We are delighted to announce our plans to host for third time our PVE Tournament, Legends of Dalaran.

From the beginning, we have been searching for Legends who can achieve the impossible, and we tried to bring the attention of all the players we could, even before Dalaran-Wow was released. Now that we are known as dedicated, persistent and devoted people to our server and to our citizens, we can proudly host one of the most epic tournaments right before each tier/season ends.

On Dalaran, not only the Realm Firsts that players have achieved will last, because there will also be Legends around, people known as the best. Eternal glory in our Kingdom awaits you, and believe us when we say that the race will not be just based on luck. Your dedication, teamwork and partnership, must be better than the rest if you want to have any chance.

This tournament will be hosted on our realm Algalon, and each and every one of the participants will have their reward.

What do we plan to achieve with this?

– To increase the competitive spirit among the players.
– To bring the “hero feeling” to our players and to spread the competition to possible new players to come.
– To gain international and competitive PvE reference.
– To have a centralized, unified and active community.
– To bring a challenge to experienced players.
– To advertise the server and to spread our quality around, in order to increase our popularity and grow as a unit.
– To give fame and reputation to our players and guilds towards the World of Warcraft community.

The PvE tournament will consist of two different races inside Icecrown Citadel and they will be present separately in both 10 and 25 modes.

1) Between 18th and 25th of May: First challenge – Speed Race.

Once the Speed Race is over, the Achievement race will take place.

2) Between 25th of May and 1th of June: On the second challenge, the guilds will have to accomplish a list of achievements (that we will provide) in Icecrown Citadel. Each of the achievements will have a specific point value.

The guild having more points between both of the challenges, will be proclaimed the winner.

How can you participate?

– The Guild Master or one of the Officers must register their guild for the tournament. The registration instructions for the Speed Run Tournament will be announced on a separated post soon.

We will explain through the forums everything, the table with the speed and achievement points value, rewards, rules, guidelines and so on.

If you want to become a Legend of Dalaran, this Tournament is for you.

We are also happy to announce the Ruby Sanctum Beta Test session will be hosted from June 1st to Sunday 3rd of June. If players are happy with the work that we have put on these encounters this new content shall be released a week after the Beta.

Thank you very much

Upcoming PvE Tournament, Betas and more.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

As we have stated in the past news, 2018 comes with a lot of activity and we would like to share with you some of our plans and the next steps that we will take, alongside some suggestions made by our community.

First off, the most imminent event: our desired High-End PvE Tournament – Icecrown Citadel (speed run and achievement run). As you may already know such kind of tournament wasn’t seen until we forged it; we did it so players could have some extra challenges as well as have some fun while the new content’s release was approaching. Sadly, we had to skip this tournament during the Trial of the Crusader’s era, in order to focus our energy on handling the heavy workload and preparing the Icecrown Citadel patch. Now, as people have been progressing through the latest content, we believe it is time to celebrate our PvE Tournament: Legends of Dalaran. We will be giving further information regarding this matter: how to participate, tournament rules, rewards, and so on.

Secondly, another upcoming event is the Beta testing for The Ruby Sanctum. This will be happening right after the PvE Tournament. Only the guilds that take part in the tournament will be able to participate and have access to the Beta. We will publish very specific news about it, explaining everything that you need to know.

As we look back into our own footsteps, we feel really proud of what we have accomplished. We were pioneers creating a progressive server, we offered harder content compared to the 3.3.5a patch by tuning the bosses and making it a real and fun challenge for everyone, we recovered the pre-nerf status from every boss in this expansion with the objective to recover the Blizzlike feeling of a challenging progression. In order to accomplish this, one of the main things that we felt like it was necessary, was performing Beta testing sessions before releasing each tier of new content, and that is what we have always been doing.

Those features, alongside the strict Blizzlike feeling and the essence of Wrath of the Lich King, have always been the main pillars of Dalaran-WoW for the past 5 years, and they will always be. After all this time we feel very glad and satisfied of being the first ones on the private server scene who introduced and developed some features, concepts, and ideas that made possible a progressive server: properly tuned and buffed content, pre-nerf status encounters, several systems to emulate the Blizzlike’s high-end progression for each character, dedicated Beta sessions before releasing each of the tiers, PvE Tournaments, among others.

Now, why are we thinking about the past and pointing out our ideas? During the last year, many of you have been suggesting us to launch a new realm, where Kel’Thuzad would be the greatest menace once again. It is important to remember the reason why Dalaran stands as a progressive server in everyone’s mind. We would like to answer you back; we hear you. But first of all, we need to finish the remaining tasks, and since this is quite a big decision, there are many things to consider very carefully. It is something that we keep in mind and we are thoroughly thinking and discussing about it.

We shall have the community updated. We really appreciate your feedback and we will always listen to your suggestions.

Icecrown Citadel 5% buff and health pool reduction.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

We would like to inform the community that we are going to introduce the first zone buff (5%) inside The Icecrown Citadel raid, as well as reduce some of the extra health buff pool from certain encounters: Professor Putricide, Sindragosa and The Lich king (all difficulties).

This changes will be active the next Friday 6th.

More news regarding the Ruby Sanctum Beta and release will be published afterwards.

Thank you very much for reading.

A brief update: Toravon, Season 8, etc.

Hello there,

We would like to inform the community that we are hotfixing the small issues that are arising with the release of the new Raid and dungeons, because even with many Beta tests behind, it was expected to receive some reports during the release on Algalon, our main priority is to have the most polished Icecrown Citadel possible.

We are working on stability and performance before deploying all the pendant fixes that are in queue, including important improvements regarding classes, the anti-cheat, visibility, etc. We are also working on several systems in order to enhance our eternal progression while it is still changelling for every player joining our server.

Now, the Arena Season 8 will start the next Saturday, 1 of July and we will publish more information about the previous season rewards once it is active.

The new Kirin Tor ring will be available, along with Toravon the Ice Watcher and the new set of weekly quests in Dalaran the Friday 30 of June.

We are really glad to read your kind words regarding this last release, and that you are delighted with the quality of Icecrown Citadel and its dungeons. We have worked really hard in order to have such details in every corner of the instance, and to see how much our community is enjoying it, is the best reward and motivation to keep going and continue giving our best. Thank you for reporting everything you find so we can polish it even more. We are certain that we can achieve great feats with our small team because our dedication, passion, and effort are the same than the first day because we would like to deliver a perfect WoTLK Home.

Thank you very much.

Icecrown Citadel ID sharing system.

Hello community,

With this announcement we want to clarify any possible doubts that may arise with the new ID sharing system that will be present for the Icecrown Citadel raid.

The IDs will be the same for 10 Normal and 10 Heroic modes, this will also happen for 25 Normal and 25 Heroic. So, for example, if you kill a boss in 10 Normal it will not be possible to kill that boss on its Heroic version the same week.

As you probably know, in order to access The Lich King encounter you will have to defeat 3 bosses first during the same lockout: Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana’thel and Sindragosa.

The weekly quests inside the raid will also be shared between 10 Normal and 10 Heroic, the same will happen for 25 Normal and 25 Heroic.

Remember that even if the raid is switched to Heroic mode by the leader, every player will still need to have the proper attunement in order to enter, as explained in our last new.

Some quick clarifications:

– Icecrown Citadel 10 Normal and Icecrown Citadel 10 Heroic will have the same ID. If you kill a boss in one mode it will not be possible to kill him in the other. The same will happen for 25 Normal and 25 Heroic.
– If you switch between Normal and Heroic difficulties, all the raid members will need the proper attunement in order to enter into the raid.
– In order to have the possibility to engage The Lich King Heroic: Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana’thel and Sindragosa have to be defeated also on their Heroic version.
– You will have 25 attempts each week to defeat all the ICC bosses in Heroic mode. Each wipe on Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana’thel, Sindragosa and The Lich King shall remove one of the available attempts.
– If you reach 0 attempts in Heroic: Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana’thel, Sindragosa and The Lich King will stop being available this week in this difficulty.
– If you reach 0 attempts in Heroic and switch to Normal mode, you will still have the possibility to kill those bosses who were not killed already.

Some random situations, as examples:

A) Your raid kills Professor Putricide in Normal mode and the rest of the bosses in Heroic mode: The Lich King Heroic will not be possible to engage, you will have to fight him in Normal mode. It will be the same outcome if just one of the required bosses is killed in Normal.

B) Your raid kills all the bosses in Heroic mode, but reaches 0 attempts during the Lich King Heroic encounter: you will not be able to continue with The Lich King Heroic. However, you will still have the possibility to defeat him if you switch to Normal.

C) Your raid kills Professor Putricide in Normal, Blood-Queen Lana’thel in Heroic and reaches 0 attempts while fighting Sindragosa in Heroic. You can switch to Normal mode and defeat Sindragosa, and then continue with The Lich King. But, Professor Putricide and Blood-Queen Lana’thel will not be available since those bosses were already killed, not matter in which mode. This means: those bosses killed in Heroic mode will not be spawned in Normal mode, and vice-versa.

Thank you very much.
