Ruby Sanctum Beta and PvE Tournament official dates:

We are delighted to announce our plans to host for third time our PVE Tournament, Legends of Dalaran.

From the beginning, we have been searching for Legends who can achieve the impossible, and we tried to bring the attention of all the players we could, even before Dalaran-Wow was released. Now that we are known as dedicated, persistent and devoted people to our server and to our citizens, we can proudly host one of the most epic tournaments right before each tier/season ends.

On Dalaran, not only the Realm Firsts that players have achieved will last, because there will also be Legends around, people known as the best. Eternal glory in our Kingdom awaits you, and believe us when we say that the race will not be just based on luck. Your dedication, teamwork and partnership, must be better than the rest if you want to have any chance.

This tournament will be hosted on our realm Algalon, and each and every one of the participants will have their reward.

What do we plan to achieve with this?

– To increase the competitive spirit among the players.
– To bring the “hero feeling” to our players and to spread the competition to possible new players to come.
– To gain international and competitive PvE reference.
– To have a centralized, unified and active community.
– To bring a challenge to experienced players.
– To advertise the server and to spread our quality around, in order to increase our popularity and grow as a unit.
– To give fame and reputation to our players and guilds towards the World of Warcraft community.

The PvE tournament will consist of two different races inside Icecrown Citadel and they will be present separately in both 10 and 25 modes.

1) Between 18th and 25th of May: First challenge – Speed Race.

Once the Speed Race is over, the Achievement race will take place.

2) Between 25th of May and 1th of June: On the second challenge, the guilds will have to accomplish a list of achievements (that we will provide) in Icecrown Citadel. Each of the achievements will have a specific point value.

The guild having more points between both of the challenges, will be proclaimed the winner.

How can you participate?

– The Guild Master or one of the Officers must register their guild for the tournament. The registration instructions for the Speed Run Tournament will be announced on a separated post soon.

We will explain through the forums everything, the table with the speed and achievement points value, rewards, rules, guidelines and so on.

If you want to become a Legend of Dalaran, this Tournament is for you.

We are also happy to announce the Ruby Sanctum Beta Test session will be hosted from June 1st to Sunday 3rd of June. If players are happy with the work that we have put on these encounters this new content shall be released a week after the Beta.

Thank you very much

Upcoming PvE Tournament, Betas and more.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

As we have stated in the past news, 2018 comes with a lot of activity and we would like to share with you some of our plans and the next steps that we will take, alongside some suggestions made by our community.

First off, the most imminent event: our desired High-End PvE Tournament – Icecrown Citadel (speed run and achievement run). As you may already know such kind of tournament wasn’t seen until we forged it; we did it so players could have some extra challenges as well as have some fun while the new content’s release was approaching. Sadly, we had to skip this tournament during the Trial of the Crusader’s era, in order to focus our energy on handling the heavy workload and preparing the Icecrown Citadel patch. Now, as people have been progressing through the latest content, we believe it is time to celebrate our PvE Tournament: Legends of Dalaran. We will be giving further information regarding this matter: how to participate, tournament rules, rewards, and so on.

Secondly, another upcoming event is the Beta testing for The Ruby Sanctum. This will be happening right after the PvE Tournament. Only the guilds that take part in the tournament will be able to participate and have access to the Beta. We will publish very specific news about it, explaining everything that you need to know.

As we look back into our own footsteps, we feel really proud of what we have accomplished. We were pioneers creating a progressive server, we offered harder content compared to the 3.3.5a patch by tuning the bosses and making it a real and fun challenge for everyone, we recovered the pre-nerf status from every boss in this expansion with the objective to recover the Blizzlike feeling of a challenging progression. In order to accomplish this, one of the main things that we felt like it was necessary, was performing Beta testing sessions before releasing each tier of new content, and that is what we have always been doing.

Those features, alongside the strict Blizzlike feeling and the essence of Wrath of the Lich King, have always been the main pillars of Dalaran-WoW for the past 5 years, and they will always be. After all this time we feel very glad and satisfied of being the first ones on the private server scene who introduced and developed some features, concepts, and ideas that made possible a progressive server: properly tuned and buffed content, pre-nerf status encounters, several systems to emulate the Blizzlike’s high-end progression for each character, dedicated Beta sessions before releasing each of the tiers, PvE Tournaments, among others.

Now, why are we thinking about the past and pointing out our ideas? During the last year, many of you have been suggesting us to launch a new realm, where Kel’Thuzad would be the greatest menace once again. It is important to remember the reason why Dalaran stands as a progressive server in everyone’s mind. We would like to answer you back; we hear you. But first of all, we need to finish the remaining tasks, and since this is quite a big decision, there are many things to consider very carefully. It is something that we keep in mind and we are thoroughly thinking and discussing about it.

We shall have the community updated. We really appreciate your feedback and we will always listen to your suggestions.

Icecrown Citadel official release date.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

We are glad to finally be able to provide the official release date of The Icecrown Citadel: Saturday, 27th May.

Because this patch’s content is quite extense and it involves many important matters, we have decided to progressively announce several informative posts before the release, so the community is properly informed and every possible question that may arise is answered. We will try to fully cover things such as:

-How everything will be released.
-What content will be included in this patch.
-Attunements and restrictions.
-Emblem system.
-Arena season.
-General information, fixes and updates.

We would like to thank everyone who has collaborated on the Beta test sessions, we have received a massive participation. From individuals who have demonstrated a lot of effort and passion, through guilds from the same faction that have organized and synchronized between themselves to fully check every single detail of the raid while providing very professional reports, to those loyal groups and players who have participated on every of our Betas.

Special thanks to those critical and strict players who have helped us by pointing every little detail they found, because thanks to this, we believe we have achieved great and polished results.

It has been a long waiting but, we truly hope it was worth it because we are absolutely sure the community will enjoy this content on which we have worked so hard and tested so thoroughly.

Rise up, champions of the Light!

A few words.

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

I would like to give you a small update regarding the current progression point and situation. As many of you are aware, we have had to attend to several unexpected issues over the last few months, which has, of course, slowed my work on the new content release quite considerably. I can imagine some of you have noticed these disturbances and that my attention was required.

Nonetheless, I am quite pleased with the state of TOC and I think it is ready for a good session of beta testing. I would like to open the PTR in 2-3 weeks, as I am currently finishing my work and trying to set a concrete timeframe for the Beta (until then, the beta testing date is not official). I need to have everything prepared, because once the Beta is open, I will need to be fully focused and ready to fix any issue that may crop up, as well as stay in constant contact with the Beta testers. The official release of TOC will be one week after the Beta is finished (if no major issue appears).

There is also a topic I would like to mention, which is the last week’s server unstability – it has nothing to do with us, our host company has been experiencing some issues with their network sessions and many hosts have been affected randomly, for several days at a time. They are already aware of the issue and working on it so it should not persist. If it continues, however, we are going to move our realms to another host provider – the effects on player experience should be minimal.

Anyways, there is a matter I believe has been managed poorly from my side, which is the lack of communication. Some players have mentioned it to me and they are indeed right. I should have kept the community more updated with current events – I would like to make an apology for that, I have been very overloaded, trying to manage many tasks at the same time and I may have underestimated the importance of keeping you, the players in the loop.

From now on, communication is one of the things we are going to work on most and try keep our community properly updated.

There have been some issues with the Tournament’s results and videos. I have sent an e-mail to every group leader and am currently awaiting response from some of them. Once we get all the required information we will distribute the points. We will try to at least partially compensate you for the delay and will add an extra reward to every tournament participant.

Thank you for reading everyone.

Recovering the planned schedule:

ask_header

Greetings,

The major instability issues that have been occurring over the past few weeks seem to have been corrected and we can return to our planned schedule. That means that some of the fixes that were reverted during the daily maintenances will be re-deployed and we can continue improving the server.

We are also working on several things that will help us keep you notified more easily regarding the updates and new content in the months to come.

In regard to Legends of Dalaran Tournament: Ulduar rewards and the Beta ToC invitations, please stay tuned – we will publish the results and grant the rewards, as well as contact you via the email addresses provided before announcing the final date.

Unfortunately, the unexpected issues made the last few weeks quite chaotic for us. As you may know, we are a small team and much of the planned work had to be postponed to identify and root out the problem. We offer our sincere gratitude for the patience, support and trust you have shown us – it has certainly helped us work harder and get it done faster. With work back on schedule, the rest of the announcements and fixes will come during the following days.

Thank you again.

Server maintenance

Hello there,

As you all may know, today, May 19th at 23:59 ST we will be performing a maintenance for both realms that will last for at least 4 hours, in order to deploy the patch which contains a lot of fixes and improvements, as well as the world event: The Argent Tournament. We will keep you informed about when is finished via website/forums and our Social Media.

Note that there will not be any instance or raid released with this patch, but you can start your training in the Argent Tournament and its grounds.

During this week, we will announce some more important informations, stay tuned to the News and announcement section.

The ToC Beta will be delayed one weekend due some unexpected issues that we are still trying to solve. We will comunicate the exact date as well as some other details about it through the forums. Also, the person who subscribed his group to the Tournament will receive an e-mail about how to join our PTR server, how long will last the Beta and the requirements to accomplish as Beta Testers.

During this week, we will publish also the results of the Ulduar tournament, and deliver the rewards to the participants and winners.

Regards.

Ulduar PvE Tournament Achievement list:

Hello Citizens of Dalaran,

This achievement challenge will last 2 IDs so you have a bit more time to complete as much achievements as you can (until the monday 18th). It has been a bit hard to decide which criterias should be appropiated overall, since it is very easy to make an encounter very hard (in most of the cases – undoables) so, we have seen ourselves in the need of modify it several times.

You can configure this stage and complete only those achievements your group preffer. Remember that the achievement will only count when all the criterias are accomplished and the boss dies right after. Also, in order to be considered participant, you must at least complete all the criterias from 4 of the following 13 achievements.

Flame Leviathan

-10 points with 2 towers.
-20 points with 4 towers.

  • It has to be just with 2 towers active, 1 of them must be Mimiron’s and the other one has to either Hodir’s or Thorim’s.
  • Hard Mode shall be considered with all the towers active.

Ignis the Furnace Master

-15 points.

  • An engaged Magma Rager NPC must be present during the whole fight, which must be tanked throught the line which connects the two water pools. The tank who is in charge of this add must be affected by the summoned tornado at least twice.
  • At least one Iron Construct with Molten aura must be alive during the whole encounter. If the aura fades, it must be refreshed within the next 15 seconds.

Razorscale

-15 points.

  • There are 3 different adds on this battle: Dark Rune Guardian, Dark Rune Sentinel and Dark Rune Watcher. Each kind of NPC must be tanked away from the others, making 3 different groups and none of them can die until all the spawned ones are perfectly grouped.
  • All the harpoons must be triggered at the same time, so you will have to synchronize your players to do so.
  • During the third phase, the tanks can not be switched until the current Razorscale’s victim has 3 stack of Fuse armor.

XT-002 Deconstructor

-20 points.

  • For the whole duration of each Tympanic Tantrum all the players except the healers must spam /sit.
  • Now, the way to manage the Gravity and Light bombs shall be the following: the first 2 Gravity bombs must be placed on the left side of the boss, and the first 2 light bombs at his right. However, after each 4 bombs (2 gravity and 2 light), the locations where the bombs must be placed need to be switched. So, after the first 4 ones, the side where to place the light ones shall be the left and the side where to place the gravity ones shall be the right. This pattern must be mantained until the boss dies.
  • You have to kill a certain number of Scrapbots with the Boombots:

-Normal mode: 38 scrapbots

– Hard Mode: 14 scrapbots.

  • XT-002 Deconstructor must be tanked exactly on the center of the room and can not be moved during the battle.

Asembly of Iron

-10 points on normal mode.
-15 points on Hard Mode

  • At least one boss must always be positioned over the Rune of Power and no player besides the tank must be affected by it, if you decide to make it Hard Mode, Steelbreaker will be the last boss standing.

Kologarn

-15 points.

  • The person targeted by the Focused Eye Beam must try to reach and catch their allies, and they have to avoid him as fast as they can.
  • The first arm to die must be the Left arm.
  • The group need to accomplish the criteria for the achievement: Rubble and roll.

Auriaya

-10 points.
-15 points if Nine lives achievement’s criteria completed.

  • Each player has to summon for this battle a cat companion.
  • None of cats (Sanctum Sentry, Swarming Guardians or Feral druids) can die until the First feral defender spawns.
  • The Feral defender must die at least 5 times.

Hodir

-15 points.

  • You can only release one helper. Note that if you release the mage, he will help you by releasing another helper, therefore the criteria would not be considered achieved.
  • You have to pay the tribute to Ice. Each Flash Freeze must freeze one player on 10 man version and 3 players on 25 man version. The frozen player must yell: “I am the tribute to Ice!” while he is being frozen.

Thorim

-10 points on normal mode.
-20 points on Hard Mode.
-Bonus: 5 extra points if no player dies on the gauntlet and the last phase.

  • Inside the gauntlet, the group must be walking backwards all the time.
  • On the arena, the players must pay the tribute to Lightning. One (10 man version) or 3 (25 man version) players will be the magnet, which means that at least once per orb charged they shall force to be hit by the lightnings. The tribute players must yell: “I am the tribute to Lightning!” while performing this action.

*We need to see both sides of the raid.

Freya

-15 points with 1 elder alive.
-20 points with 2 or more elders alive.

  • It has to be with at least 1 elder alive.
  • During the first phase, the group has to allow 3 Eonar’s gift to totally grow and heal the enemies.
  • In this battle you have to pay the tribute to Life. On 10 man mode each four nature bomb waves (each 2 waves on 25 man) a player must be near one bomb until it explodes, the players for each turn can be switched, of course. The tribute player must yell: I am the tribute to Life! while performing this action.

Mimiron

-15 points on normal mode.
-30 points on hard mode.

  • In the first phase, all the ranged DPS and healers must be in groups of 2 players on 10 man or 4 in 25 man.
  • On this battle you have to pay the tribute to Fire (during the VX-001 and the V-07-TR-0N phases). Each time a rocket strike is casted one player must place himself on the landing zone and receive the impact. The tribute players must yell: “I am the tribute to Fire!” while performing this action.
  • During the last phase versus the V-07-TR-0N, the targeted person by the Aerial Command Unit shall always be running in circles around the boss in the same direction. Note that this must performed always that the head is targeting and casting the plasma ball to someone.

General Vezax

-15 points.

  • All the mana based players, must start the battle with only their 75% mana.
  • All the spawned saronite vapors during the encounter’s duration must be destroyed, but only can be destroyed one at time. This means, there can not coexist two green pools at the same time at any given point. When a vapor explodes and such pool appears one player must go over and get at least 5 stacks from it. This player is not allowed to repeat this action nor stay on a Shadow Crash pool to benefit from the buff for the rest of the encounter.

Yogg Saron

-15 points with 3 keepers helping.
-25 points with 1 keeper helping.
-35 points with 0 keepers helping.

  • Freya’s help can not be requested by any means on this encounter
  • All the Guardians of Yogg-Saron must be killed in groups of 2 with a maximum interval of 5 seconds between each other’s death.
  • Players with brain link can’t enter the portals.
  • The constrictor tentacle which squeezes a player must be the last tentacle to die from each spawned group.
  • During the last phase, at least once one Immortal Guardian shall be affected by the Empowering shadows.

Note that there is no need to die on the tributes, the players can try to survive in those cases which are fatal, but death is always a good tribute.

Every video must clearly show all the aspects of the criterias performed.

Thank you very much and enjoy this challenge.
